Baby Patsy McGuinness
Henry McGuinness was born in Wilson Street in 1921. Alice McCartan was born in the Markets area the following year. They married and had their children: Baby Patsy, Jim, Harry, Bernie, Colette, Noel, Marie, Gerard & Marina whom they raised in the Ballymurphy, Donegall Pass and Ormeau Road areas of the city. Their first born child Patsy died. Alice was untimely killed when she was knocked down on the Ormeau Road while she should have been celebrating. She died on her 50th birthday. This left Henry alone to raise their younger children with the help of their elder siblings. Henry died in 1984. Their son Jim who spent some years living in Manchester later died in 1993 after returning home to Belfast.
They are forever mourned by their heartbroken children, brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and entire family circle.

I had a dad with a heart of gold who suffered much but never told. A friend to all his last he'd give no better dad has ever lived. I miss his smile and joking ways I miss the things he used to say and when old times I do recall it's then I miss him most of all.
